Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals (P&GP)
P&G formally entered the Pharmaceutical business in 1982 with the purchase of the US company, Norwich Eaton. P&G pioneered knowledge in the field of bone metabolism and furthered the role of bisphosphonates for use in osteoprosis, stemming from early research with laundry detergent technology. Although owned and operated by P&G, the company continued to trade as Norwich Eaton, until in 1992 the name was changed to Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals. P&GP is growing rapidly and now operates across the world, with operations in the U.S., Canada, and Western Europe.

Our business in UK and Ireland is led from our Technical Centre at Rusham Park, in Egham, Surrey. P&GP are market leaders in the UK and Ireland in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, a disease which weakens bones, making them more likely to fracture (break). Generally, the main focus areas for P&GP bone/musculoskeletal, cardiac, anti-infectives, and gastro-intestinal. P&GP has a strong marketing and selling capability in the UK and Eire, particulary with specialists such as rheumatologists, geriatricians, and endocrinologists.
